Whilst we’re without a runner in the hometown Cup, we do have half a dozen stepping out at Ballarat for their marquee day. In Sydney, we have three excellent chances in the Inglis Nursery and two in The Ingham.

Cavallo Rampante | J: Ben AllenWe did have her nominated for the Magic Millions race on the day, but that came up a touch strong, so we’ve instead lobbed here, which is a race that looks to have a long tail. With good speed coming from Cadboll, Tillotson, Give Giggles, and Imapagethree Girl, Ben Allen should be able to park just off them from the soft draw. She’s an ever-consistent mare, is going well at home, and her last win has since been franked, all boding well for a strong showing here.
