Not a lot of depth in the race, and whilst I think you can make solid enough cases for the two heading the market, it is the third in line, STING IN THE TAIL of most interest.

She is off an extended break, however given two solid trials, both being sharp heats on their respective days, and I would suggest she is considerably forward in condition.

It is a bit of a muddling affair speed map wise, however that likely favours more than not, as she will flop and can handle either a soft or hard tempo.

The consistency of C’MON MATE is admirable, however he does have a knack of finding a couple better.

MAHOGANY GIRL won in a figure enough to think she is the horse to beat here. Travelled above standard early, slight slacken before good strength late. She was 1000m to 1300m there and I think she is trending the right way to hit a new peak.

SUSPECT is just that, stepping up in trip.

Taking my chance on a couple at odds, particularly given the price of STRAAND BEAUTY, who was a good winner dropping back to 1000m but does bump into some pretty handy, seasoned horses.

DARK GLITTER resumed very, very well, rattling off strong closing figures in what looks a good reference into this. She was quite raw in her debut prep and does look to have come on maturity wise off that first-up run. She won at this track and distance with much the same set up and in a figure that has her hard to beat here.

LEAVE ME SOME has reached her ceiling, however that top has her right in the finish here. The two kickers are back in trip and down in weight, then add in the likely tempo, and she looks very well placed.
