I thought SOLDIER OF ROME was a sound hope at an EW price, however got the blows in the market and the deteriorating track did no favours. His two figures prior have him the horse to beat and on firmer footing I expect he runs closer to those than not.

LIKE LUKEY was a good winner in lesser grade at Hawkesbury. She is a hope but a little short in my mind.

GUZUMPED goes well on his day, if anything consistent. The draw likely defaults him back in running, and will have a task to pick up a strong on pace, SOLDIER OF ROME.

GO TROPPO always thereabouts in these races and sets up fine.

HOW DARE YOU bombed the start resuming, giving the field 5+ lengths. She made big ground, finishing 1.6L off the winner. That is the risk again, but Lloyd has jumped her well prior and the yard commentary around fitness suggests she will turn the figure to something required to win.

WINSTON HILLS resumes off an extended spell, given two proper sound outs at the trials. They put the blinkers on in the second of those and they stay on race day.

TRUE AMOR went backwards 2UP but I do expect we can work to his FUP win on firmer footing and again sets up well.

SCORCH had every possible last start and saluted accordingly. The figure was only fair. Thin enough through the rest.
