Looking at the second tier in the market, with the two market fancies a little shy.

GOOD ONCE had no luck at Wyong, having being snicked back against a slow tempo, making a deep run at them. Race was only average, however I do like the profile for him, similarly staggered to this 4UP last time in. I’d suggest more forward this time in.

TAKE ME TO CHURCH is the runner I am most fearful of, and worth chopping out on. Solid enough trial leading in and with even luck, takes some holding out.

Newcastle - 1250m Rarity Wholesale BM64

Quite a handy BM64, but I have sided with one I put in the book from last prep and again gave the tick off the trials leading in. ART VOLANT hit her straps off a let-up last prep, and either of those two figures have her hard to topple here.

Of note, both of those runs were at 1000m, however as she got through her prep, she ticked the distance box in my mind, arguably winning a solid BM72 at 1300m with any luck before again running well behind some solid names through the inferior inside.

MAGIC SHADOW is another runner I am keen to be with alongside ART VOLANT. He has a big finish, recording meet top closing figures his past three, now returning to this track and distance where he won emphatically from the tail.
