CAMBAR is on the up and up, winning on debut and going on with it in strong figures at Wagga over 1000m. Trial between runs solid and up to 1100m does not look an issue. Handles wet ground.

SIR REMLAP returned well off a very long spell, which was my query there, and I am going to hold my reservation here on a rather short back up. He clearly has good ability.

SPIRIT CHASER has trialled quite well on two occasions. Times nothing to write home about and I dont think she has a heck of a lot left, but expect she is there abouts in a race like this.

MISS REBEL won well at Scone last start, putting another solid enough figure down. She boxes on again.

How affected the track is will be key to the chances of FRONT PAGE, and at this stage I am marking him harsher. I have three runners of interest, siding with the blue silks, PEREILLE and CONTEMPORARY, closely followed by OUR KOBISON.

PEREILLE was taken back from the draw, running on in top meet figures last start, showing better acceleration and strength than JEDIBEEL through the same race.

CONTEMPORARY has trialled up very well and is a bomb fresh horse. Handles the going and he is undoubtedly going to be the scariest of these late. OUR KOBISON sets up well, has trialled well, and has five 100+ figures coming into the race. No real knock on IN FLIGHT, and FIRE STAR just has to overcome the draw – which he has in his past two runs.
