I think THEBLADE has trialled up well enough to be the horse to beat. Very good winner on debut back in August, ranking 2^nd overall at the meeting. Sets up quite well, likely sitting off what looks at least an even tempo.

PRIVATE HARRY brings margins and SP profile into the race, and he is obviously a runner on the up. Has to take the next step, both in grade and up in trip.

SCORCHING LEGEND brings the best recent figure in with me, storming them from the tail at Canterbury. Had the pressure to capitalise on up top, but good probability gets that here.

MANUSCRIPT and CANDLEWICK the other two to consider. Unsure if the latter is here at this stage.

YISKA is clearly the horse to beat and only needs even luck from the low draw. He was very good resuming, having suffered some adversity in run and proving too strong late. Accredited has come out and since franked the form, and done so in very good fashion.

MICKEYS MEDAL has trialled well and one I will be looking to play alongside YISKA. Solid fresh form and I am confident he will be ticked up for this.

BLAZING HARRY is obviously a good horse and hard to knock on set up. A little plain last start, however, the form prior is hard to ignore.

MIDNIGHT OPAL next. UPDATE: MICKEY and BLAZING HARRY scratched, making YISKA the solid play.
