I have it between BRIGIDINE GAL and LECONFIELD, with a slight leaning to BRIGIDINE GAL given the likely position in run advantage and fitness coming into this third-up. Two solid career starts, she was the clear outlier from the front tracking a very strong tempo at 1400m last start. Sets up well, with my only niggle being the days from then to here.

LECONFIELD has moved well at the trials (VIEW) and only needs to have come on slightly to be hard to hold out late.

Strong trials (VIEW) from CONCOCTION, particularly the latest visual, being wound up from the top of the straight and storming home. He is the one I am most wary of upsetting the top couple.

JOLLY GOOD FELLOW can certainly improve back in trip and with the blinkers added. RUMBLING NIGHT next.

This is a really strong betting race to finish off on, given DRIFT NET has far too greater stranglehold at the top of the market than I can entertain.

SMART LEGEND is the runner of really good interest. He was underdone first-up, and the yard commentary will back that up. He has gone back to the trials, not once, but twice, going well in both. There is no reason not to think he is not stripped up now and again, pointing to the yard, I would expect commentary to say as much. I have him mapping quite well, with a bit of speed again, I anticipate he gets a cart and can drop in behind them.

CARRAZANA is the runner to follow going forward. Really neat lead in work, scratched mid October, trialling again leading into this. Id have liked to see McDonald booked, but to negate the query a little, Lloyd will suit.

PIERCING ARROW is the scare for me, mostly if the track is playing forward. Blinkers go on, trialled well in them between runs.

Even enough through the rest of the field, making LITTLE BEGINNINGS another at odds to include in wider exotics. Then DRIFT NET.
