Handy enough race, willing to chance my hand on BAKHITA, who ran much better than her finishing position suggests last start. She was caught deep throughout against strong early fractions and boxed on quite well. Sets up well here and like Morgan taking over.

GRANDINI has trialled up quite well and the 1200m appears a good kick off point for him this time in.

YOU THINK YOU KNOW has also trialled well, maybe a little vulnerable late, and I am giving some weight to Morgan going to BAKHITA, likely not electing to stick with this runner from the trials.

Another pretty solid race, where I believe there is a case to be made for 2/3 of the field. The runner of most interest is the resuming, CAPITAMY. The figure at 900m first-up last time in has him winning, and to extend that, he went on to win again second-up, recording a rating enough for this. Tidy trial leading in.

STARANE has the runs on the board and did flash home last start, recording a strong closing figure. Will be ridden more positively here and they are happy to carry the weight with Bullock taking over.

MOVE SHE CAN has trialled well enough and was scratched from a Saturday race in preference of this. I’m banking the apprentice gets outridden by the seniors here.

STAR BLING will finish off, I just don’t have comparable figures in two starts to date.

Scone R5 - 1100m Inglis HCP Class 1

THUNDERING SOUL is the best horse in the field, and I think if she copes with the weight, she handles these. Has closed off in good figures both starts this time in, trending the right way to peak. Admirable run in the Inglis Millenium in her debut prep. Some niggle the prep set up, but from the camp, I can water down some logic.

MISS REBEL went well again last start, putting three consistent figures down this time in. Sets up fine and make her the main danger.

Minor cases to be made for PEARLS TREASURE and GREAT POINT, the former just goes, the latter maybe needs this one.
