8. Latakia | J: Ms Angela JonesLatakia is second up after finishing second over 1100m at Ipswich six weeks ago. She won a jumpout at Deagon a fortnight ago and this looks the perfect race to continue her preparation in. Angela Jones will be looking to roll forward from the wide draw and we are hoping she will be able to control the tempo in the small field. If the race is run to suit her, she looks the class runner in the race.

9. Moreton Bay | J: Ms Cejay GrahamMoreton Bay continued her consistent run of form when finishing second here over 1100m two weeks ago. She steps up in grade slightly here, but Cejay Grahams claim brings her down nicely in the weights. She should be able to get a nice on speed run from the inside barrier and we know she will show a good kick in the straight. She always tries very hard, and we expect her to be in the finish again.
