Back to a true rail at Hawkesbury…concerning…very concerning.

With rain predicted Thursday and Friday we will all be eagerly watching the first few races to see what we are dealing with later in the day.

As always, best of luck to all our connections!

RACE 4Blakes Marine (Bm78) 1800m

4. Unspoken | J: Joshua Parr

Unspoken returns to the races second up in great order after being narrowly beaten in his first Australian start on the Kensington track on the 22nd of March. We expect the horse to appreciate stepping up to 1800m and with track conditions uncertain, we expect him to be competitive on any surface.

DANGERS: 3. Biscayne Bay, 8. Ausbred Flirt, 14. Demarcay

RACE 5The Lawn Shed (Bm78) 1100m

16. Winnertakesitall | J: Regan Bayliss

(EMERGENCY) This filly has drawn horrendously. Despite the gate, we feel that she is going well enough to take her place in the field should she gain a start but its not going to be an easy task. Even with only one turn from the 1100m start at Hawkesbury, we will wait and see what the weather is doing and we may yet save her for another day.

DANGERS: 2. Fire 11. Red Card

RACE 8Hawkesbury Crown 1300m

4. Tycoon Evie | J: Joshua Parr

We were very disappointed to see this mare draw barrier 14. This has been a target race this preparation and while the barrier makes it a tough assignment, she is going too well at home to suggest she won’t run well. Barrier aside, there are some positive factors heading into this race - she was very unlucky when narrowly beaten last start, she has had a lovely tick over trial and we feel that Josh Parr is the perfect jockey for her. The only reason we may consider not running is if we find ourselves facing a bottomless track on Saturday hitting that heavy 9-10 range.

DANGERS: 1. Princess Grace, 2. Expat, 10. Never Talk

RACE 9Richmond Club Hawkesbury Gold Cup 1600m

20. Dynasties | J: Chad Schofield

This mare is going super at home and her runs this preparation suggest to us that she is improving with each run. She is a mare that benefits from having her runs spaced and heads into Saturday looking and feeling very well. We are hoping for one more scratching to see her take her place in the field. Should she gain a start, she won’t be deterred by a wet track, has drawn well and is down in the weights. We think she is well suited to a race like this.

DANGERS: No, 3. Floating Artist, No. 10 Lord Ardmore
