It’s a good day of racing around the country, and Saturday sees the start of the stable’s Brisbane campaign.
Best of luck to all our connections!

Sovereign Fund returns to the races carrying a big weight, courtesy of his stakes win last preparation. He is a progressive horse, and from the good draw we expect him to find a nice spot and be given every chance in the straight. It is good to have him back at the races off the back of a nice trial, and he is a horse that we will be looking to take north for the Brisbane carnival.
DANGERS: 11. DIPSY DOODLE, 5. ARMED FORCES
Mirra View, having trialled well, resumes off the back of a lovely preparation last time in. She has found herself a nice barrier, and we have no doubt she will only improve off whatever she does Saturday as she steps up in distance.
DANGERS: 10. FLAG OF HONOUR, 14. LAVISH EMPIRE, 16. VALIANCY

Miss Hellfire has been running well in the mid-weeks but from barrier 12, she is going to need a bit of luck - she is a filly that gets back anyway, so its not too concerning. We can’t fault her work at home, but she has just been finding one better on race day in her recent starts.
DANGERS: 10. FLAG OF HONOUR, 14. LAVISH EMPIRE, 16. VALIANCY
Lumiere heads to Newcastle first up and with an awkward draw. He is a horse that is going to improve as he steps up in distance.
DANGERS: 10. OHTANI, 13. DUCASSE

Like his stable mate, To His Credit heads into this race first up and will similarly improve as he steps up in distance. He has been doing well at home and this looks a nice race to kick off his preparation.
DANGERS: 10. OHTANI, 13. DUCASSE
Substantial has found himself with a lovely barrier, and we are very happy with how he has travelled up to Brisbane. He has been a victim of circumstance in his two Australian starts - he is a horse that needs a genuine tempo, and we think he might find it in this race. With a nice gate, genuine tempo and a leading rider, we expect to see an improved performance.
DANGERS: 6. ANTINO
This is an extremely competitive race for a small field. We couldn’t be happier with how King of Sparta is looking and performing here at home. Chad knows the horse well and will be giving him every chance.
DANGERS: 1. PRIVATE EYE, 8. PRINCE OF BOOM
Magadan heads to Eagle Farm after what was, at face value, a disappointing run last start. On Saturday, he will be back on top of the ground and coming back to the mile. He is a lovely son of Russian Revolution and the way he has trained on at home suggests that he is ready to take this next step in his career.
DANGERS: 1. PERFECT THOUGHT, 3. KOVALICA, 4. BROSNAN
It’s a much smaller contingent for the stable this Saturday but hopefully we have a bit of luck. All the best to our connections.
A small team heads to Doomben this Saturday. Transatlantic aims to back up his impressive last start win in race five and Star Of Chaos takes on stablemate Brentwood in the last. Good luck to all connections! Gollan Racing Team
We’ll hope to keep the good times rolling and have a huge hand entered to do just that, headlined by ESTRIELLA in the Sunlight Classic, PRIDE OF JENNI doing battle in the Australian Cup, RUTHLESS DAME in the Emancipation, ASHRUN in the Tancred and ANOTHER WIL and BERKSHIRE SHADOW in the Doncaster Prelude. Good luck […]
